“Genus Dilepidonotus, new genus
Type D. falklandicus, new species
This genus agrees with Lepidonotus Leach in having 26 setigerous segments; the prostomium has paired antennae continuous with the prostomial lobe; elytra number 12 pairs. Parapodia are biramous; notosetae are much slenderer and shorter than neurosetae. It differs from Lepidonotus in lacking prostomial eyes; dorsal crests are present on the dorsum of segments as in Barrukia. Pseudoelytra occur on cirri-bearing segments, that is, on 3, 6, 8, 10, and every other segment to 26. Neurosetae are nearly smooth and acicular; they lack spinous rows at the cutting edge. A single species is described.”
