Found mainly in Baja California and Sonora State, where it is known a Ciruelo Cimarron. Although referred to as a plum in both languages, it is of the Anacardiaceae Family. Despite the "edulis" name, it seems used more for medicine than food. Photo from Sierra Laguna in southern Baja.
This member of the Anacardiaceae Family is found largely in Baja California, where it is known as Lentisco. English names include Pink-flowered Sumac and Lent Sugarbush. San Diego Botanical Gardens.
