Salvatoria clavata is a species of Annelida in the family Syllidae.[2]The species is similar to Brania pusilla but is a bit longer measuring in about 2mm to 3mm,[3] individuals in this species can even grow to 10 mm. They have parental care.[2] It has an acrosome shaped like a beaker.[4]
They reproduce by iteroparous.[2] The species has been classified as androdioecious, they are said to have evolved from gonochoric ancestors. In this species the eggs are fertilized and incubated in the hermaphrodite's pouch.[5]
The species has a circumglobal distribution.[6] It can be found in the Adriatic Sea, Gulf of Mexico, Aegean Sea, the Red sea, and the Atlantic Ocean.[1]

Salvatoria clavata is een borstelworm uit de familie Syllidae. Het lichaam van de worm bestaat uit een kop, een cilindrisch, gesegmenteerd lichaam en een staartstukje. De kop bestaat uit een prostomium (gedeelte voor de mondopening) en een peristomium (gedeelte rond de mond) en draagt gepaarde aanhangsels (palpen, antennen en cirri).
Salvatoria clavata werd in 1863 voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven door Claparède.
