Diceroprocta olympusa is known from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina (U.S.A.) (Sanborn & Phillips 2013).
Diceroprocta olympusa has the most extensive distribution of any cicada in Florida and is found in all Florida ecoregions except the Everglades. The distribution extends with much less frequency to Mississippi and North Carolina. These cicadas often call from trees, but use grasses as a host plant. (Sanborn & Phillips 2013)
