Labeo fuelleborni Hilgendorf & Pappenheim 1903

Lives on the bottom (Ref. 4967). Mud and vegetable debris found in stomach; caught near shores and in open water (Ref. 98757). Seems to feed mainly on aufwuchs and plants, but probably takes small animals such as insects as well; nothing is known about the breeding habits (Ref. 27292). May ascend rivers to spawn (Ref. 4967) but this has not been reported (Ref. 27292).

The Fuelleborn's labeo (Labeo fuelleborni) is an African species of freshwater fish in the family Cyprinidae. It is found in Burundi and Tanzania in the Lake Rukwa basin, Lake Tanganyika and the Malagarasi River. Its natural habitats are rivers, freshwater lakes, and inland deltas. Its status is insufficiently known.
