Thoburnia atripinnis (Bailey 1959)

Inhabits rocky pools and adjacent riffles of creeks and small rivers. Hides in bedrock crevices, near boulders or under shoreline brush (Ref. 5723, 10294). Feeds on midge larvae, microcrustacea and occasional larger insect larvae (Ref. 10294).

The blackfin sucker (Thoburnia atripinnis) is a species of ray-finned fish in the family Catostomidae. It is found only in the United States in the headwaters of the Barren River system in south central Kentucky.
