Pileus corky or leathery, dimidiate to reniform, applanate, 3-6 X 5-10 X 0.3-1 cm.; surface concentrically sulcate, zonate, tomentose, grayishochraceous to grayish-isabelline, somewhat fading with age; margin thin, velvety, entire : context ochroleucous, subshining, zonate, corky, 1-6 mm. thick ; tubes rather short, 2-4 mm. long, isabelline within, mouths circular, slightly irregular at times, 2-4 to a mm., edges rather thick, becoming thin, entire, firm, milk-white when young and fresh, isabelline to ochraceous-fulvous at maturity :
spores allantoid, smooth, hyaline, 5-7 X 2-3 i ; hyphae 2-5 ii.
Type locality : St. "Vincent, West Indies. Habitat : Various kinds of dead wood. Distribution : Tropical regions.
