Aegilops bicornis (syn. Aegilops bicorne (misapplied), Triticum bicorne Forssk.) is a species in the family Poaceae native to Palestine and the Levant.^[3]

Elsewhere this plant is commonly considered a weed.

Geitegress (latin: Aegilops bicornis) er en ettårig art av geitegresslekten i gressfamilien (Poaceae). Den er opprinnelig fra Egypt og Midtøsten, og ble domestisert i jordbruk i den fruktbare halvmåne en gang etter 8000 f.Kr.

De vokser gjennom vinteren, og har genetiske fellestrekk med hvete, som de også kan krysses med.
