Its seeds dispersal time for Bellevalia hermonis. Some of the seeds fall off the open fruits and others are dispersed by wind with the the whole inflorescence that breaks. Its a small tumble weed.
Bellevalia hermonis is found in Mt Hermon above 1900m. where it is rather common. It is a shy plant that flowers after the snow melts in May-early June. Last year I posted a pic with its fruits and seeds - http://www.treknature.com/gallery/photo122076.htm
Just after snow melts lots of bulbous plants emerge from the soil. One of them is Bellevalia hermonis (which I posted previously in flower). At this early stage it is bronze coloured and looks very unique.
Bellevalia hermonis is a short bulbous plant, endemic to Mt Hermon. In summer it is fruiting and then thumbling, thus dispersing its seeds. Here u can see the fruiting inflorescence.
