Marasmius praedecurrens Murrill, sp. nov
Purewhite throughout; pileus convex to nearly plane, umbonate when young, usually becoming depressed about the umbo with age, gregarious, 3-4 mm. broad; surface smooth, striate to pruinose, especially at the center, becoming more or less glabrous with age, margin very thin, entire: lamellae long-decurrent, of medium breadth, not crowded, not interveined: stipe filiform, smooth, glabrous, slightly enlarged at the apex, whitish-mycelioid at the base, slightly pruinose and usually much twisted on drying, 1.5-2 cm. long.
Type collected on moist ground among mosses and sticks in Bermuda, November 29-December 14, 1912, Brown, Britton. bf Seaver 1383 (herb. N. Y. Bot. Gard.). Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
