Perennial herbs, subshrubs or shrubs. Stems winged. Leaves alternate, sometimes slightly decurrent. Inflorescence (in ours) with capitula in a much-branched, terminal, leafless, corymbose cyme. Capitula disciform, heterogamous with outer florets female borne in 1-3 rows and inner florets bisexual. Receptacle naked. Phyllaries in 3-8 rows, ovate and narrowing upwards. Achenes cylindric. Pappus 1-seriate, of scaberulous bristles.

Pluchea is a genus of flowering plants in the tribe Inuleae within the family Asteraceae. Members of this genus might be known as camphorweeds, plucheas, or less uniquely fleabanes. Some, such as P. carolinensis and P. odorata, are called sourbushes. There are plants of many forms, from annual and perennial herbs to shrubs and trees, and there is variation in the morphology of leaves, flowers, and fruits.[3][4][5][6]

The genus was named for the French naturalist Abbé Noël-Antoine Pluche.[4]

Pluchea es un género de plantas con flores perteneciente a la familia Asteraceae. Comprende 166 especies descritas y de estas, solo 55 aceptadas.[2][3]​ Las especies están distribuidas en las regiones cálidas de ambos hemisferios.

Descripción

Son hierbas o arbustos, frecuentemente aromáticos; tallos glabros, pubescentes o glandulosos, a veces alados. Hojas alternas, simples, ovadas a linear-lanceoladas, márgenes enteros o dentados, glabras o glandulosas a pubescentes; pecioladas o sésiles con aurículas abrazadoras o decurrentes sobre el tallo. Capitulescencias paniculadas, cimas alargadas a planas; capítulos disciformes, heterógamos; involucros ovoides o campanulados a hemisféricos; filarias en 2–5 series, imbricadas, herbáceas a cartáceas o endurecidas; receptáculos planos, glabros; flósculos pistilados en series múltiples, fértiles, las corolas filiformes, ligeramente dilatadas en la región distal, 3 (4)-lobadas, púrpuras a blanco-cremosas, estilos filiformes, bífidos, con ramas delgadas, alargadas; flósculos perfectos pocos, las corolas tubulares, rosados a rosado-purpúreos, el tubo delgado, dilatado distalmente, cilíndrico o ligeramente campanulado, 5-lobado, base de las anteras caudadas, apéndice terminal deltoide, redondeado, estilos bífidos o unidos, con ramas delgadas y ápice redondeado. Aquenios cilíndricos, prominentemente 3–6-acostillados, estrigulosos, glabros o glandulosos; vilano de cerdas estrigosas, en 1 serie, unidas en la base.

Chi Cúc tần hay chi Lức (danh pháp khoa học: Pluchea) là một chi thực vật có hoa trong họ Cúc (Asteraceae). Chi này chứa khoảng 40 loài. Chúng là bản địa của vùng nhiệt đớiôn đới ấm. Phần lớn là dạng cây bụi rậm rạp, chứa nhiều nhựa. Tên khoa học của chi được đặt theo tên nhà tự nhiên học người Pháp Noël-Antoine Pluche.
