Orania castanea (Küster 1859)

Orania castanea is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk, in the family Muricidae, the murex snails or rock snails.^[1][2]

Distribution

This marine species occurs off South Africa, from False Bay to the south coast of Natal, and Walters Shoals, south of Madagascar.

Orania castanea is een slakkensoort uit de familie van de Muricidae.^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1886 door Küster.
