Sorites Ehrenberg 1839

Sorites is a genus of benthic Foraminifera, in the family Soritidae, order Miliolida. Its Type species is Nautilus orbiculus (Forsskål in Niebuhr, 1775). Its chronostratigraphic range ranges from the Miocene to the present.

Sorites es un género de foraminífero bentónico de la subfamilia Soritinae, de la familia Soritidae, de la superfamilia Soritoidea, del suborden Miliolina​ y del orden Miliolida.​ Su especie tipo es Nautilus orbiculus. Su rango cronoestratigráfico abarca desde el Mioceno hasta la Actualidad.
