Lissocampus fatiloquus, also known as prophet's pipefish is a species of marine fish belonging to the family Syngnathidae.[1] The species has been noted in a variety of habitats including sargassum, seagrass beds and sandy substrates along the coast of Western Australia from Shark Bay to Rottnest Island.[2][3][4][5] Their diet is thought to consist of small crustaceans such as copepods.[6] Reproduction occurs through ovoviviparity in which the males brood eggs before giving live birth.[3]

Lissocampus fatiloquus is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van zeenaalden en zeepaardjes (Syngnathidae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1943 door Whitley.
