They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine is ptychonomous and located on the space between two veins of the lower surface of the leaf.

Phyllonorycter ringoniella is een vlinder uit de familie van de mineermotten (Gracillariidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1931 door Matsumura.[1]
