Medium sized free-swimming flagellates with two subapically inserting flagella, flagella long and thick. Cells with one to three types of peripheral ejectisome-like extrusomes. Tubulocristate mitochondria. Ingesting algae and other protists via anterior end. In marine and freshwater habitats.
