Trees, to 15 m tall, d.b.h. 15-30 cm. Bark gray. Branchlets pubescent when young or densely covered with short grayish white pubescence. Stipules caducous, lanceolate, ca. 1.5 cm. Petiole 1-3 cm; leaf blade brown to pale brown when dry, narrowly elliptic, 10-20 × 3-7 cm, ± leathery, abaxially glabrous or densely covered with short grayish white pubescence, base broadly cuneate to rounded, margin entire, apex acuminate; basal lateral veins short, secondary veins 8-12 on each side of midvein, conspicuous on both surfaces. Figs axillary on leafy branchlets, paired, orange-yellow when mature, globose, 7-10 mm in diam., sparsely pubescent or glabrous, apical pore small, not navel-like; peduncle 1-1.5 cm, sparsely pubescent or glabrous; involucral bracts upper part caducous but base persistent. Male, gall, and female flowers within same fig. Male flowers: few, near apical pore or scattered; calyx lobes 4, ovate-lanceolate; stamen 1. Gall flowers: sessile or with a short and thick pedicel; calyx deeply 4-lobed; ovary globose; stigma apical, short. Female flowers: sepals [3 or]4; ovary ovoid; stigma apical, long. Achenes ovoid. Fl. and fr. May-Sep.

Ficus glaberrima is an Asian species of fig tree in the family Moraceae. The native range of this species is India, S. China and tropical Asia: Indo-China to the Lesser Sunda Islands (but not Borneo, Sulawesi or the Philippines). The species can be found in Vietnam: where it may be called đa trụi or đa lá xanh.

Đa trơn hay Đa trụi, danh pháp khoa học: Ficus glaberrima, là một loài thực vật có hoa trong họ Moraceae. Loài này được Blume mô tả khoa học đầu tiên năm 1825. Cây thuộc loại gỗ lớn nhiều năm, cành lá non không có hoặc rất ít lông phủ. Dạng thân hợp trục, vỏ màu xám nâu có nhiều vết bong mảng. Lá đơn mọc cách so le. Phiến lá dạng thuôn dài có chiều dài 15–20 cm. Gân lá mạng lông chim, đặc biệt cặp gân từ đuôi lá sẽ chạy lên hướng đầu lá cho đến 1/4 phiến lá. Cuống là dài 1,5–3 cm. Lá kèm búp sớm rụng, cao 1,5 cm.
