Letheobia graueri, also known as the Lake Tanganyika gracile blind snake, Grauer's gracile blind snake,[5] Sternfeld's beaked snake, Grauer's blind snake,[6] is a species of snake in the family Typhlopidae. The species is endemic to Middle and East Africa.[4]

Etymology

The specific name, graueri, is in honor of Rudolf Grauer, an Austrian zoologist and explorer.[6]

Geographic range

It is found in Burundi, eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, western Tanzania, and western Uganda.[4]

Letheobia graueri est une espèce de serpents de la famille des Typhlopidae[1].

Répartition

Cette espèce se rencontre dans l'est de la République démocratique du Congo, au Rwanda, au Burundi, dans l'ouest de la Tanzanie et dans l'Ouest de l'Ouganda. Elle est présente entre 700 et 1 400 m d'altitude[1].

Description

Letheobia graueri mesure jusqu'à 450 mm[1].

Étymologie

Cette espèce est nommée en l'honneur de Rudolf Grauer (1870–1927)[2].
