Alaena johanna, the Johanna's Zulu, is a butterfly in the family Lycaenidae. It is found in Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya and Tanzania.[2] The habitat consists of savanna and rocky hillsides at altitudes ranging from 1,200 to 1,900 metres.
The larvae probably feed on lichens.

Alaena johanna is een vlinder uit de familie van de Lycaenidae.[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1890 door Sharpe.
