Prunulus ludovicianus Murrill, sp. no v
Pileus fleshy, firm, convex to expanded, gibbous, solitary, 3 cm. broad; surface moist, glabrous, scarcely striate, dark-tan or nearly fuscous: lamellae free or nearly so, crowdet^, of medium breadth, whitish; spores subglobose, smooth, hyaline, 6-7 justipe cylindric, equal, glabrous, pallid, shining, solid, 5 cm. long, 5 mm. thick.
Type collected on the ground in a wet thicket at New Orleans, Louisiana, September 8, 1908,
F. S. Earle 132 (herb. N. Y. Bot. Gard.).
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
