Xenorhina mehelyi is a species of frog in the family Microhylidae. It is found in Papua New Guinea and possibly Indonesia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

Xenorhina mehelyi est une espèce d'amphibiens de la famille des Microhylidae^[1].

Répartition

Cette espèce est endémique de Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée. Son aire de répartition concerne une large bande de moyenne altitude s'étendant de la frontière indonésienne, province de Papouasie jusqu'à Port Moresby. Elle est présente de 240 à 1 270 m d'altitude. Sa présence dans la province de Papouasie est incertaine^[1],[2].

Étymologie

Son nom d'espèce, mehelyi, lui a été donné en référence à Lajos Méhelÿ, zoologiste hongrois.
