Labeo kawrus, the Deccan labeo, is fish in genus Labeo. It is found only in the Krishna River system of the northern Western Ghats in the Indian states of Karnataka and Maharashtra. It occurs in the upper reaches of rivers, in lakes and reservoirs. It can grow to 60 cm in total length. Spawning commences with the onset of south-west monsoon. Its habitat is severely threatened by organic and inorganic pollution, and possibly overexploitation, there is some evidence of declines in populations in the northern part of the species' range.^[1]

Labeo kawrus is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van eigenlijke karpers (Cyprinidae).^[2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1839 door Sykes.

De soort staat op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als niet bedreigd, beoordelingsjaar 2010. De omvang van de populatie is volgens de IUCN dalend.^[1]

高魯野鯪，為輻鰭魚綱鯉形目鯉科的其中一個種。分布於亞洲印度西高止山至德干高原，體長可達60公分，可做為食用魚。
