Chrysops auroguttatus Krober 1930

Distribucion en Costa Rica:
Distribucion General: Mexico (Quintana Roo) to Colombia (Choco to Cauca); Trinidad.

Females feed on the blood of mammals.

Immature stages unknown.

Hind tibiae with apical spurs; antennal flagellum never with more than 5 distinct flagellomeres; ocelli present; wings nearly always with a distinct crossband; frontoclypeus bare and shining; discal cell entirely infuscated; apical spot of wing a slender band along the anterior edge of the wing; cell cu1 always with a hyaline area; second tergite black, broadly yellow at the sides, usually without a median mark; tergites 3-4 black with equilateral yellow triangles whose apices may reach the anterior borders, tergite 5 with a yellow hind border widened into a low triangle in the middle; hyaline area in the posterior margin of the crossband large, filling all but the base of cell cu1 and entirely crossing cell m3 in the middle.

Chrysops auroguttatus adolah sabuah spesies Tabanidae. Spesies ko juo marupokan bagian dari ordo Diptera, kelas Insecta, filum Arthropoda, dan kingdom Animalia.

Lalek kudo dewasa mahisok nektar dan kadang-kadang sarbuak sari. Betino dari kabanyakan spesies adolah anautojenik, nan artinyo butuah mahisok darah sabalun mampu untuak bareproduksi sacaro efektif. Telua dilatakkan di ateh batu atau vegetasi biasonyo balansuang dakek jo aia misalnyo kolam ranang.
