Liatris spicata (Button Snakewort) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They are listed as threatened by COSEWIC. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, and North America. They have purple flowers and achenes. Flowers are visited by Tawny-edged Skipper, Melissodes bimaculatus, Brown-belted Bumblebee, and Southern Carpenter Bee. Individuals can grow to 4.5 feet.
