Medicago sativa (Alfalfa) is a species of perennial herb in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have compound, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Long Dash, Sphaerophoria, Russet Skipperling, and Queen of Spain Fritillary. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
