Sori in leaves, more rarely also in axis of inflorescence and even in spikelets, generally sliowing as linear striae, distinct or often more or less confluent, at first covered by epidermis, upon rupture disclosing dusty brown-black lines of spores ; spores medium to dark reddish-brown, rather irregularly oblong to spherical, usually angular, prominently verrucose, 13-20 fi in length. •
