Potentilla simplex (Common Cinquefoil) is a species of perennial grass in the family Rosaceae. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Canada. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by Lycaena hypophlaeas, Nomada parva, Andrena personata, and Negro ant.
