Prunus virginiana (Chokecherry) is a species of shrub in the family Rosaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to North America, The Contiguous United States, Canada, United States, Western North America, Eastern North America, Alaska, and Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon. They have broad leaves, white flowers, and drupes. Flowers are visited by Celastrina humulus, Nason's Andrena, Valgus hemipterus, and Yellow-banded Bumblebee. Individuals can grow to 25 feet.
