It is sparsely hairy annual plant. Stems are erect or ascending, branched from the base and sulcate. Leaves are 1-2 x 0.6-1.2 cm, broadly obovate in outline, 2-pinnatisect. Lltimate lobes are 1-3 x 0.5-1 mm, oblong-linear, and mucronate. Peduncle is 2-3 cm, elongate in fruit to 8 cm , slightly thickened and indurate. Capitula is 2-2.5 cm. diameter. Phyllaries are 2-seriate, 3 x 1 mm, and lanceolate; the margins are scarious, the apex is obtuse to subacute, and the midrib is green. Receptacle is conical. Paleae are 3.5 x 0.4 mm, oblong-lanceolate, and longmucronate; ray florets female, fertile, the limb is 4-6 x 2.5-3.5 mm, oblong-elliptic, white. Corolla-tube of the disc florets is 1.8 mm, and pilose at the base. Achene is 1.5-1.8 x 1 mm (excluding the auricle), broadly obconical, tuberculate. Auricle is 0.5 mm, and 2-3-lobed.
