Didymochlaena truncatula is a species of perennial herb in the family Didymochlaenaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Pará, Amazônia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Santa Catarina, Roraima, Alagoas, Mata Atlântica, Rio Grande Do Sul, SãO Paulo, Acre (Brazil), Rio De Janeiro, Espirito Santo, Amapá, and Pernambuco. They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.2 m. They have alternation of generations.
