They are native to Espirito Santo, Bahia, Mato Grosso, AmazôNia, Minas Gerais, Maranhao, GoiáS, Cerrado, Pantanal, SãO Paulo, Amapá, Roraima, Rio De Janeiro, Pará, Mata Atlântica, Ceará, Acre (Brazil), Caatinga, Alagoas, Tocantins, RondôNia, Sergipe, Distrito Federal, Mato Grosso Do Sul, The Neotropics, and Pernambuco. They have berry. Flowers are visited by Scale-throated hermit.
