Gejiu Blind Loach

Eyes degenerated and only with shallow concave; barbels 3 pairs; body naked and without pigment; lateral line pores clear.

Lives in the karst subterranean river 400 m under the ground. Year-round water temperature is about 17oC and the water shows weak alkaline. The fish shows no response to light and is very sensitive to touching (Ref. 45563).
