Nepeta cataria (Catnip) is a species of perennial herb in the family Lamiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Common Wood Nymph, Aphrodite Fritillary, Speyeria hesperis, and Callippe Fritillary. Individuals can grow to 0.71 m.
