Myrica gale is a species of shrub in the family Myricaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to North America, Canada, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Eastern North America, The Contiguous United States, and Alaska. They have simple, broad leaves and blue flowers. Flowers are visited by Melanostoma mellinum, Neoascia podagrica, Episyrphus balteatus, and Platycheirus clypeatus. Individuals can grow to 7 feet.
