Hippobroma longiflora (Madamfate) is a species of shrub in the family bellflowers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mata Atlântica, AmazôNia, Roraima, Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, Cerrado, Alagoas, Maranhao, Paraná, Puerto Rico, Bahia, SãO Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, Espirito Santo, Acre (Brazil), Caribbean Islands, Pará, Caatinga, Ceará, and U.S. Virgin Islands. They have simple, broad leaves and loculicidal capsule fruit.
