Persicaria hydropiperoides (Swamp Smartweed) is a species of perennial herb in the family Polygonaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to RondôNia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Eastern North America, ParaíBa, Pantanal, Mata Atlântica, Amapá, Paraná, Ceará, GoiáS, Caatinga, SãO Paulo, Distrito Federal, Tocantins, Espirito Santo, North America, The Contiguous United States, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso, Cerrado, Roraima, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande Do Sul, Sergipe, South America, Maranhao, Rio De Janeiro, Piauí, Canada, Santa Catarina, Puerto Rico, Bahia, and Pará. They have simple, broad leaves, green flowers, and achene.
