Cynophalla hastata (Broadleaf Caper) is a species of tree in the family Capparaceae. They are climbers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to ParaíBa, Ceará, Piauí, Alagoas, Sergipe, U.S. Virgin Islands, Mata Atlântica, Pernambuco, Puerto Rico, Caatinga, Bahia, and Rio Grande Do Norte. They have simple, broad leaves and red flowers. Individuals can grow to 50 feet.
