Vaccinium uliginosum (Alpine Bilberry) is a species of shrub in the family Ericaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Eastern North America, Alaska, Western North America, Greenland, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, United States, Canada, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Honey bee, Eristalis pertinax, Tawny Mining Bee, and Dasysyrphus albostriatus. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
