O.ralis pumila Nutt.; T. & G. Fl. N. Am. 1 : 212. 1838. Not O.pumila Urv. 1829. Oxalis Suksdorjii Trel. Mem. Bost. Soc. Nat. Hist. 4 : 89. 1888.
Stems decumbent or reclining, 1-3 dm. tall, more or less villous, often sparingly so, arising from slender, sparingly branched rootstocks ; leaflets bright-green, the blades 13-26 mm. broad, with scattered hairs on both surfaces and ciliate ; peduncles about as long as the petioles or longer; pedicels strigillose, refracted in fruit; sepals 4.5-6 mm. long at maturity; petals bright-yellow, 12-1S mm. long; longer filaments pubescent; capsules oblong, very stout, minutely but closely pubescent, abruptly narrowed at the apex.
Type locality : Oregon. Distribution : Oregon and California.
