Dodonaea viscosa (Florida Hopbush) is a species of shrub in the family Sapindaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Alagoas, Mata Atlântica, Bahia, Pará, Rio Grande Do Norte, Rio De Janeiro, Caatinga, Ceará, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande Do Sul, ParaíBa, Espirito Santo, Amazônia, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, SãO Paulo, Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, Minas Gerais, The Hawaiian Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, RondôNia, Paraná, Pernambuco, Cerrado, and Maranhao. They have simple, broad leaves, white flowers, and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by house fly, Cheloninae, Drosomyia, and Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. Individuals can grow to 15 feet.
