Lycium carolinianum (Carolina Desert Thorn) is a species of shrub in the family nightshades. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves, purple flowers, and berry. Flowers are visited by Apis mellifera. Individuals can grow to 9 feet.
