Range Description

Mentha gattefossei is a strict endemic of Morocco. It is found at one site in the Moroccan Sahara (Ziz river), and at five sites in the Atlas Mountains (Haut Atlas: Toubkal, Moyen Atlas and Anti Atlas). The extent of occurrence is about 84,000 km. The area of occupancy is estimated to be slightly above 2,000 km.
