Testate amoeba, lorica is small rounded in outline but compressed in thickness, with a short neck. Aperture oval, with a V-shape at the junction of the neck and the main body, the neck often of finer grains than those composing the body. Surface smooth. Length of shell 130-289 microns, breadth of shell 100-222 microns, depth of shell 107-179 microns, diameter of aperture 45-75 microns.
