Dysphaea ethela, Black Torrent Dart, is a black damselfly in the family
Euphaeidae. It is is known from
Karnataka and
Kerala in
India. This damselfly usually sits in the middle of streams on boulders or emergent twigs. Subramanian (2005) gives the habitat as torrential hill streams, Fraser (1924) gave the habitat as rivers and D. ethela is known to breed in streams and rivers. Found at Athirappilly, Kerala.
