They are native to Mato Grosso, Rio Grande Do Sul, Cerrado, Bahia, Amazônia, GoiáS, SãO Paulo, Pernambuco, Santa Catarina, Caatinga, Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo, Ceará, Rio De Janeiro, Puerto Rico, Roraima, Paraná, Pará, and Mata Atlântica. They have alternation of generations.
