Description: Čeština: Klíšťák zhoubný (Argas persicus) patří ke krevsajícím parazitům napadajícím ptáky, zejména pak domácí drůbež. Od příbuzných klíšťat se klíšťáci nápadně liší přítomností štítu, který kryje celé jejich tělo včetně ústního ústrojí. Jsou významnými přenašeči původce ptačí boreliózy.
