Vespula vulgaris (Common Wasp) is a species of Hymenoptera in the family Vespidae. They are native to United States, Mexico, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, China, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, North Korea, Iran, Europe, South Korea, United Kingdom, Turkey, and Mongolia. They visit flowers of Madeiran Ivy, Hydrangea aspera, common tansy, and Aspen Sunflower. They are diurnal.
