Tragopogon porrifolius (Salsify) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves, purple flowers, and achenes. Flowers are visited by Andrena nigrocaerulea, Lon melane, and Andrena thoracica. Individuals can grow to 4.5 feet.
