Vernonia noveboracensis (New York Ironweed) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Eastern North America, North America, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Toxomerus geminatus, Honeybees, Common Eastern Bumble Bee, and Giant resin bee. Individuals can grow to 6.6 feet.
