Plants with rather short glabrous branches; leaf-blades ovate to orbicular-ovate, 1.53.5 cm. long, abruptly pointed at the apex, glabrous, cordate or subcordate at the base, sessile or nearly so, glandless ; panicles narrow, rather closely few-flowered, the rachis finely pubescent ; sepals oblong, about 3 mm. long, glabrous ; corolla yellow, tinged with red, the larger petals 8-10 mm. long, the blades oblong to ovate-oblong ; capsules 3-3.5 mm. long, the faces smooth or nearly so.
Type locality : Oaxaca.
Distribution : Known only from the type locality.
